Participation Guidelines

Types of Participation

Visitors: Visitors are welcome to join the AGT Discord or the Facebook group but with limits on their activities.

Travellers: Travellers are full AGT members. 

Bureaucrats: Bureaucrats take the leadership of a Bureau or Department. 

Senior Leadership Team (SLT): Senior Travellers who guide AGT activities. 

Traveller Foundation Leaders: Committed Travellers chosen by the SLT to be Foundation leaders.

Companies: Travellers or groups of travellers who may operate a company within the AGT.

Increasing Participation

1. Use the AGT Naming Convention, This is rule #1 of joining the AGT. IF we do not see a user consistently apply it, we do not consider them part of the AGT. Discover and name star systems with AGT prefix is the basic rule.

2. Register on the AGT census. 

3. The AGT is active on many different platforms. Discover all those social media platforms and follow them. 

4. Fly the AGT flag and banners at your base.

5. Use the AGT Decal on your bases.

6. Use the AGT Banner on your player profile.

7. Provide a Message Module at your base promoting it as part of the AGT.

8. Leave communication stations at portals noting "This portal secured by the AGT".

9. Submit discoveries to the AGT Galactic Archives. Providing high quality contributions will seriously improve your credibility with the SLT.

10. Publish your named AGT discoveries on the wiki, if you need help or advise contact our wiki admin, celab99.

11. Follow and join the AGT Twitter list.

12. Cross post in Twitter and tag the AGT members such as @zazariins, @GalacticTrvllrs, and/or @celabgalactic.

13. Cross post in Reddit on the r/GalacticTravellers community group.

14. Post in the Facebook group for the AGT.

15. Post in the AGT Discord Group channels.

16. Join multiplayer sessions with other AGT participants.

17. Join the AGT chat groups on Discord, Facebook Messenger, Steam, Xbox or Playstation messenger groups.

18. Once you are known and comfortable in the AGT, apply for a formal position at the AGT Job Portal.

19. Join in initiatives to build/construct bases in systems when noticed by special announcement made by the AGT Senior Leadership Team.

20. Leave Communications Stations on other non-AGT worlds near points of interest such as Portals, Trading Posts, Colossal Archives, or Minor Settlements that host Multi-tools. The Communication Station should promote it as a point of interest from the AGT.

21. if the Traveller joins Expeditions, then leave Communications Stations on the expedition rendezvous points on host worlds near points of interest such as Portals, Habitable Bases, and Settlements. The Communication Station should promote it as a point of interest from the AGT.

All of the above are guidelines for increasing your participation in the AGT, you do not have to do any or all of them, but the more effort you invest, the more rewarding membership will become!

Behaviour Guidelines

The AGT has a few simple behaviour rules which apply across all our social media and public platforms:

• Banter is ok, bullying is not.

• No racism

• No sexism

• No trolling

• No real world political or religion discussion/arguments

• No promoting of other civs or communities using any AGT server channels unless clearly and directly authorised by the AGT Senior Leadership Team

• Follow our system naming guidelines. This is mandatory in AGT designated regions.

• Sci-fi references are ok but keep to NMS

English preferred as the AGT operating language.  If you wish to have another language on the Discord server, the AGT SLT will make efforts to arrange a general channel for that language.  Non-english channels will not be actively moderated.

Reporting and Moderation

Report banter to Senior Leadership or a Discord moderator (those with SLT or moderator role tag) if you feel it's gone too far.
