Participation Guidelines

Types of Participation

Visitors: Visitors are welcome to join the AGT Discord or the Facebook group but with limits on their activities.

Newbies: Newly admitted members. Once they register on the census and contribute using some of the participation activities (see below), they will be promoted to Traveller.

Travellers: Travellers are AGT members who register on the census and name systems according to AGT Naming rules.

Companies: Travellers or groups of travellers who may operate a company within the AGT.

Bureaucrats: Bureaucrats take the leadership of a Bureau or Department. 

Foundation Commanders: Dedicated Travellers chosen to be Foundation leaders in a specific galaxy.

Senior Leadership Team (SLT): Leaders who guide AGT activities. 

Senior Council Committee (SCC): The Guiding Decision Making Leaders of the AGT.

Increasing Participation

1. Use the AGT Naming Convention, This is rule #1 of joining the AGT. IF we do not see a user consistently apply it, we do not consider them part of the AGT. Discover and name star systems with AGT prefix is the basic rule. Intentional violation of the rule will leave to removal from the AGT.

2. Register on the AGT census. 

3. Submit discoveries to the AGT Galactic Archives. Providing high quality contributions will seriously improve your credibility with the SLT.

4. Submit Natural Wonders.

5. Join the AGT in-game alliance. Go to our capital system at AGT Embassy in the Yihelli Quadrant and join at the space station

6. Join multiplayer sessions with other AGT participants.

7. Write AGT Lore. Read the AGT History first.

8. Fly the AGT flag and banners at your base.

9. Use the AGT Decal on your bases and on your corvettes.

10. Use the AGT Banner on your player profile.

11. Provide a Message Module at your base promoting it as part of the AGT.

12. Publish your named AGT discoveries on the wiki, if you need help or advise, ask in the Discord server or look for our wiki admin celab99.

13. The AGT is active on many different platforms. Discover all those social media platforms and follow them. 

    1. Follow and join the AGT Twitter list.

    2. Cross post in Twitter and tag the AGT members such as @zazariins, @GalacticTrvllrs, and/or @celabgalactic.

    3. Cross post in Reddit on the r/GalacticTravellers community group.

    4. Post in the Facebook group for the AGT.

    5. Post in the AGT Discord Group channels.

    6. Subscribe to the AGT Substack.

14. Once you are known and comfortable in the AGT, apply for a formal position at the AGT Job Portal.

15. Create artwork for the AGT.

16. Create Videos promoting the AGT on YouTube or Tiktok. Make sure you tell us about them with links.

17. Join in initiatives to build/ construct bases in systems when noticed by special announcement made by the AGT Senior Leadership Team.

18. Leave Communications Stations on any planet near points of interest such as Portals, Trading Posts, Colossal Archives, or Minor Settlements that host Multi-tools.  Suggested message is  "www.nms-agt.com". Don't crowd up busy community system portals, other civilizations or other peoples bases though because Communication stations can not be deleted.

19. If the Traveller joins Community Expeditions, then leave Communications Stations on rendezvous host worlds near points of interest such as Portals, Habitable Bases, and Settlements. Suggested message is "www.nms-agt.com". Don't crowd up busy community system portals or other peoples bases though.

All of the above are guidelines for increasing your participation in the AGT, you do not have to do any or all of them, but the more effort you invest, the more rewarding membership will become!

Behaviour Guidelines

The AGT has a few simple behaviour rules which apply across all our social media and public platforms:

• Banter is ok, bullying is not.

• No racism

• No sexism

• No trolling

• No real world political or religion discussion/arguments.

• No promoting of other civs or communities using any AGT server channels unless clearly and directly authorised by the AGT Senior Leadership Team.

• Follow our system naming guidelines. This is mandatory in AGT designated regions.

• Sci-fi references are ok but keep to NMS

English preferred as the AGT operating language.  If you wish to have another language on the Discord server, the AGT SLT will make efforts to arrange a general channel for that language.  Non-english channels will not be actively moderated.

Reporting and Moderation

Report banter to Senior Leadership or a Discord moderator (those with SLT or moderator role tag) if you feel it's gone too far.
