Bureau of Galactic Archives

Summary

The AGT Bureau of Galactic Archives is responsible for all official AGT activities concerning collection and maintenance of all database records (the actual AGT Galactic Archives), as well as the associated Wiki pages on the NMS Fandom site, and the webtools for the database.

Bureau Responsibilities

The bureau has the following responsibilities:

• Communicate and promote the existence of the AGT Galactic Archives to groups outside the AGT

• Recruit and encourage 'Travellers' (members of the AGT) to record and document their findings in the AGT Galactic Archives Database.

• Maintain the AGT Galactic Archives DB Tool and database content and backups.

• Maintain the AGT Website and Webtools.

• Maintain the AGT Census and related membership systems.

• Ensure data migration from Google form submissions as appropriate. Advise and support the other related on how to manage Forms submissions and migration of data to the main database.

• Represent the AGT to provide guidance to the NMS Fandom administrators on structure, categorization and characteristics / guidelines for the NMS wiki.

• Promote the AGT Galactic Archives on the AGT official communication channels when possible (NMS Coordinate Exchange, Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, Discord).

• Ensure recording in the AGT Galactic Archives of special interest that are posted in the NMS Coordinate Exchange, AGT Facebook, Reddit, Twitter, Discord groups.

• Support specific regional focus to document discoveries by AGT leadership.

• Particularly  focus on AGT Key regions.

• Key responsibility: The bureau is the key element to ensure travellers record star system names with AGT prefix. 

• The bureau is overseen and supported by the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
