Bureau of Zoological Research

Summary

The AGT Bureau of Zoological Research is responsible for all official AGT activities concerning fauna/creatures. It is also known by its short version as BuZR (pronounce "buzzer").

Bureau Responsibilities

The bureau has the following responsibilities:

• Represent the AGT to the peer groups in the community (e.g. Galactic Hub Exobiology Corps) for fauna/creature research.

• Represent the AGT to provide guidance to the NMS Wiki administrators on structure, categorization and genus guidelines for the NMS wiki.

• Recruit and encourage 'Travellers' (members of the AGT) to record and document their findings in the AGT Galactic Archives.

• Promote the AGT Bureau activities on the AGT official communication channels when possible (Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, Discord).

• Oversea the Bureau of Zoological Research discord channel in the AGT Discord group.

• Document creatures submitted by Travellers in the Discord Zoology channel and from Creature/Fauna form submissions.

• Ensure recording in the AGT Galactic Archives of fauna of special interest that are posted in the NMS Coordinate Exchange, AGT Facebook, Reddit, Twitter, Discord groups. Also ensure sharing of notable discoveries on all those platforms for visibility.

• Support specific regional focus to document fauna discoveries as identified by SLT.

• Secondary responsibility: Ensure and encourage travellers to comply with AGT Naming Conventions.

In general, there is a particular request for the bureau to ensure capturing and properly documenting creatures in Key AGT regions:

• Yihelli Quadrant its neighbouring regions in the AGT Yihelli Capital Super Region.

• Louyen in the Hilbert Dimension.

• Historical AGT regions of Milland, Deuter, and the Kaleibn Cluster in Euclid.

• Traveller Foundation capital regions.

The Bureau is overseen and supported by the AGT Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

Contributing to the Bureau

Any AGT Traveller can submit Fauna and creature discoveries to the AGT Galactic Archives.  You do not need to formally join the bureau, however a Bureau Leader may recruit you to help on special projects if you are willing.
