AGT Galactic Radio Network

The AGT operates a Galactic Radio Network. At launch, the following channels are available, and more are planned in the future.  In addition, existing channels will increase in content quantity as more Travellers contribute.

Submit to AGT Radio

We encourage all AGT Travellers to contribute to the AGT Radio Network.  Broadly speaking, we provide two different submission systems, one for music, and one for all other content.

Music Submissions

The Music can be traditional user created or AI assisted. We do ask that you write your own lyrics to provide your own element of personaly creativity if you choose to use AI to assistance.  You are encouraged to write your own chords/notes if you are capable, or even use your own voice even if you use AI music generation.  

We will require lyrics, a cover art PNG file and honest disclosure on your use of AI for the submission. 

Specifications: 

• Music File: MP3 format cleanly recorded, with a minimum 160 KB/s sample rate, 48KHz stereo

• Lyrics: TXT file, no formatting.  Preferable if bridge, chorus etc are clearly noted but not mandatory

• Cover Art: PNG format, 1600x1600 pixels, perfect square aspect ratio, RGB color (not CMYK)

By submitting, you will allow the AGT to use the music freely for non-commerical purposes.  If you do not have a commercial license to the music (often AI assisted creations are not commercial licensable unless you have a paid account), then choose the correct option for license so we understand the restrictions when you submit.

You will be acknowledged and credit as the music creator in any case.

The AGT will not use this consent for commercial purposes.

If the AGT plans to publish commercially, you will be contact to discuss terms of agreement at the contact email you provide.

Scripts

There are broad categories of non-music content, and we will strive to be flexible based on your abilities.  At minimum we will ask for a text script of your idea. The text can be just a simple file, with minimal formatting.  If you only submit a script, we will make efforts to generate it into an audio file. Depending on the complexity of the script, and the number of submissions, final availablity on submission will vary. 

In general:

• Shorter scripts work best (2 sentences = 6 seconds typically of talk time)

• Multiple speakers OR different speed of speech in a script will take considerably longer as we will need to generate separate audio files for EVERY line spoken, and then do an audio merge/splice of the audio segments.

• We will not commit to prepare full length multiple speaker dramas or documentaries  (eg. more than 1 minute of audio with multiple speakers), however if you want to create drama we will be happy to advise you on how to create the audio files/merge them etc. Single speaker dramas and documentaries of any length can be submitted.

Each script submitted MUST fall into one of the following type of categories:

• News - typically 30-90 seconds in length, one speaker

• Announcement - typically 30-45 seconds in length, one speaker

• Call-In - Typically 2-3 minutes in length, with two speakers

• DJ - Typically 10-15 seconds in length, one speaker

• Drama - Variable

• Story - Typically 1-3 minutes in length, one speaker

• StationID - Typically 10-20 seconds in length

• Weather - typically 30 seconds in length, one speaker

• Traffic - typically 30-45 seconds in length, one speaker

• Documentary - Variable length, suggest one speaker

• Interview - Typically 3-5 minutes in length, two speakers

• Commercial - typically 20-40 seconds in length, one speaker

Note that in normal paced english speech, it is typically spoken around 150 words per minute. Use this as a guideline to see if your script is too short or too long for the recommended duration above.

General Audio

The same submission form for scripts will accept an audio file also, of up to 100MB size.  We prefer you submit in WAV format, however if you add special effects and background effects, we will ask you to provide an Audacity source file.  

If you cannot provide an audio file, that is ok, we will make a best effort on our own to create it for you.

Specifications for our Form submission: 

• Audio File: WAV format cleanly recorded, with a minimum 160 KB/s sample rate, 48KHz stereo, maximum 100MB, 

If you need to submit a file larger than 100MB OR you have an Audacity file, just provide a note in the submission in the last field for notes, and we will contact you to arrange a file transfer.

Certain types of audio should use specific special effects, you can download these below if you want to assemble the audio file yourself.
