About Project Quartzite

Project Quartzite (PJQ) is a Non-profit Corporation that is owned and operated by AGT member juneybugged. The company is dedicated to the discovery, survey, and documentation of as many Purple-class star systems as possible across the No Man's Sky universe. 

Project Quartzite was founded by juneybugged on 19 September 2026 (AGT Stardate 3742.19.09). 

Mission

"The memories of Atlantid have returned to the universe. Now it is time to catalogue those memories.

Background

With the return of Purple-class star systems to the galaxies of the known universe, the founder and CEO juneybugged became fascinated with them, and wished to dedicate her resources to documenting as many as possible. Following the sounds of the dissonant echoes, she plunged into these systems to record the brand new giant planets, water worlds, and various anomalous phenomena previously thought impossible to exist. Wishing to make her efforts official, juneybugged founded Project Quartzite. 

Operations

Primarily, Project Quartzite undertakes the documentation of completely unclaimed and independent Purple-class star systems across the universe, not staying within the confines of one region or galaxy. However, if the need arises, Project Quartzite is willing and able to document such systems that are within civilized space and claimed, for no cost.

When uploading Purple-class systems not in the territory or service of a player civilization, Project Quartzite will apply a naming standard as follows: PJQ-[SysID] [SystemName]. If the system contains a gas giant (GG), terrestrial giant (TG), or waterworld giant (WG), then the planet's designated two-letter code will be appended to the end of the SysID in the system name, i.e. PJQ-001-WG [SystemName]. In the uncommon event that Project Quartzite uploads and documents a non-Purple system under its own corporate banner that isn't under the claim of a civilization, the following naming standard will be applied: PJQ-NP [SystemName], with NP standing for "non-Purple". 

Project Quartzite is officially registered under the AGT Infrastructure Subsidiary Partnership.  As such it operates with an AGT charter, however it is available to other civilizations for projects.  In the event that Project Quartzite receives permission from a civilization to aid in the survey of the Purple-class systems within one of said civilization's claimed regions, Project Quartzite will adhere to that civilization's naming conventions when uploading these systems.
