Almost anyone can join the AGT easily. You just have to agree to name star systems you discover with an AGT prefix, like 'AGT Coolstar'. You also should follow our participation guidelines, The more you contribute, the more rewarding your involvement. Once you have read both sets of guidelines above, make sure you register on the census to be an official AGT Traveller.
We suggest starting with the Yihelli Quadrant in Euclid, which is our capital region, and the most densely populated.
Look for Yihelli Quadrant glyphs on the AGT Key Regions page.
Absolutely, in fact the AGT has an active presence in the Hilbert Dimension, Calypso, Hyades, Budullangr, and Eissentam. There is also a sprinkle of AGT expansion regions in over a dozen more galaxies. Contact us to learn more.
The AGT has over 10,000 pages on the No Mans Sky wiki, documenting thousands of our star systems, regions, bases and discoveries. The wiki also has detailed information about the AGT itself, not all of which is currently replicated on this website. We suggest starting with our AGT civilization page.
We recognize the wiki is not for everyone. The AGT has had hundreds of contributors help build over 10,000 pages on the wiki over 8 years. Moving all of this content into a website is challenging, so the website first focus is to provide the most valuable information. Gradually, more information will appear on this website and you will need to use the wiki less for AGT information.
That is an excellent question, and frankly, the simplest answer is 'get involved'. Volunteer to start projects, lead them, see them through, and publicize your results. We allow a great degree of freedom on how you want to contribute. Some ideas:
Help out on prioritized regional exploration and naming initiatives.
Contribute to our AGT Galactic Archives by submitting your claims and discoveries in AGT named systems.
Build up some credibility in the Facebook and Discord groups as a valuable contributor - sharing systems, tools, bases, ships etc. for others to learn about.
When you get enough credibility, apply on the AGT Job Portal for an official department position.
Talk to zazariins or celabgalactic if you feel you want to do more.
Absolutely, any AGT traveller can set up a company. the key thing you need to know is you must set up a wiki page for the company on the NMS Fandom wiki site, and create an emblem (graphical badge). The AGT can help you with these things, but you need to own and drive it. There are a few steps the get started:
Figure out a name, and a focus for the company. Do not try to reach for universe, pick a manageable scope, you can add more scope later.
Create the emblem. Look at some other companies on the wiki to get ideas.
Create the company wiki page. The AGT can help you here, but you need to drive this.
Select a suffix name for systems your company will claim for the AGT. You should consult with celabgalactic to help pick a suitable suffix that is not already used across any of civilized space.
Make sure you understand the AGT policies on company participation as outlined in the AGT Infrastructure Subsidiary Partnership.
Build up some credibility, submit systems, bases, ships, tools etc to the database in the company name. Always make sure to state the company operates as a registered company under the AGT.
Use the AGT Discord and Facebook group to share systems, tools, bases, ships etc. for others to learn about.
Leadership to a Travellers Foundation is generally by the invitiation of the SLT only. Any high performing and dedicated AGT traveller who is interested can raise it with an SLT member, and they can provide guidance if you are ready to take on a foundation, or what else you need to do first.
There are many reasons why you may observe this:
Glitches in Hello Games servers especially during busy periods after a major update, or a new expedition can result in your discovery name and claim not sticking. You can only be sure by revisiting after some time to see if it held. During these busy periods, HG servers may not show a system as discovered, even if the Discovery services are showing online.
When you first visited the planet/system, the Discovery services were offline. Your name and claims will never work when this indicator is shown (in red color) on the lower left corner of the discovery screen.
When the game goes through an update that changes a planet biome significantly, Hello Games intentionally resets the discovery applied name and claim info for that planet.
All planet names and claims during Pathfinder, and many from the Atlas Rises era have been reset.
Discoveries were platform specific before March 31, 2021 (pre-Major Expedition Release Update). After this update, the multiple discovery universes of PC, Playstation and Xbox were made into one discovery history, and the first name and claim discovery across any universe was applied, the other discarded.
Infrequently, a system name and claim during Pathfinder has been found to be reset.
If you have more questions, contact the Bureau of the Galactic Archives.
There are several reasons why you may observe this:
Glitches in Hello Games servers especially during busy periods after a major update or new expedition can also result in their servers being too overloaded to send the base to your game to download. Try again later.
When the game goes through a major update, sometimes, some bases disappear from Hello Games server. The original builder can reupload them and they will reappear for everyone again.
The builder deconstructed the base. This is common for bases built before the NEXT era when players could only have one base, they would move it frequently. In general, consider any records of a base before the NEXT era to be historical, you probably will not see the base if you visit.
The planet or system has too many bases. The game is known to have a limitation of how many bases it will download per system, roughly believed to be about 16,000 parts. If the total of all bases in a system exceed this, then typically only the most recently updated bases up to a 16,000 base part count will appear in the system. This typically means a limit of 20-30 bases. If an older base builder uploads their base, they will push their base to the top of the visibility queue.
Underground or cave bases are notorious for being obstructed. The terrain the builder may have cleared for them will not be cleared for visitors, and the base be invisible or inaccessible as a result.
Your discovery services are offline (showing red in the bottom corner of your discovery screen. Even they turn back to green, you may need to warp out and return to the system to restart the base downloading process from Hello Games Servers.
Key advice, whenever a major update happens, go revisit all your bases and re-upload them so others can see them again.
There are a few suffixes used in the AGT for some specific systems:
SCC - Steering Committee Collaborative - used mainly in the Atlas Rises era by the AGT SLT that were colonizing Hilbert for eventual settlement
BTF - Used by the Budullangr Travellers Foundation in Budullangr.
CTF - Used by the Calypso Travellers Foundation in Calypso.
ETF - Used by the Eissentam Travellers Foundation in Eissentam.
HTF - Used by the Hyades Travellers Foundation in Hyades.

CEL - Used by CELAB Galactic Industries.
GMEF - Used by the Gravemind Expeditionary Force.

We are working on reports for every one of the 256 galaxies, and the associated web page for those galaxies. We have prioritized those galaxies where the AGT has a documented presence already, or will shortly. If there is a specific galaxy you want added soon, make sure to submit discoveries to the AGT Galactic Archive database, and it will automatically become a higher priority for us to prepare the page and reports.
Absolutely not. In fact we have dozens of fields of information for each record in the database, and some entries like systems, planets and moons have over 100 fields per record. We prioritized reports that get the key information summarized in a easy to use report. We also include a wiki link in all reports for each record, as generally when a wiki page is created it will capture all the information from all fields for that record.
If you want a specific type of field, let us know and we will look at adding it. Due to the fact reports are coded per galaxy, we may have some limitations on what makes sense for reports, but we are open to any ideas.
We are planning this on our development roadmap. Initially it is likely to be for specific users and we may prioritize recent and high contributing members, but gradually we hope to have a solution than can generate a report for anyones discoveries on demand for any user.
No, they do not. In fact there are a significant number of non-AGT data records in our database, such as from Cafe 42 and the Galactic Hub Project. At present we do not focus on those records with the current version of our reporting tools.
