About the AGT...

The Alliance of Galactic Travellers, or AGT, is a civilized space alliance of independent Travellers, Companies and Foundations that participate in exploration within the No Man's Sky universe. The group was formed on 8 April 2017, and publicly launched on 14 April 2017. The AGT has grown from 15 initial members to over 2600 (as of 10-Oct-2025) on Facebook and Discord user groups.

Players participating in the civilization refer to themselves as Traveller and primarily meet on the AGT Facebook and Discord Groups.

The AGT has also been canonised in the simulation directly, reflecting the significant impact the AGT and its forbearers, the iVc, and the AAAM Expeditionary organizations have had on Civilized space.

AGT Motto

The current civilization motto was used originally to assemble members in the Atlas Rises era in Louyen:

"Here it began, Here we became."

During the earlier Pathfinder era, the AGT motto was:

"The Many Become One"

The Motto and our Evolution

The change of the motto is not just cosmetic — it symbolizes the AGT’s evolution from a fledgling group into a lasting institution with deeper roots in the NMS universe. The newer motto ties identity to place and history, emphasizing continuity and belonging rather than just unity.

“Here it began, here we became” is also about reminding Travellers that every new discovery continues the origin story.  Every new discovery ties back to our origin story, the AGT isn’t just cataloguing systems — it is a living narrative where each member’s contribution becomes part of the civilization’s identity.

The solitary act of exploration is transformed into something communal:

- Continuity: Every prefix, every planet name, is a thread woven into AGT’s larger tapestry.

- Legacy: New members don’t just join a group; they inherit a story that began in 2017 and continues with each warp.

- Purpose: Discoveries aren’t random — they’re milestones in the ongoing journey of “Here it began, here we became.”

The AGT is turning each galaxy into a collective chronicle, where the past and present are inseparable in our story.

• AGT founder introduced the now standard galactic quadrant system.

• AGT founder co-deciphered the galactic coordinate systems.

• AGT has documented over 8000 AGT and Traveller Foundation systems.

• The AGT Galactic Archives is one of the largest database of systems, planets and related discoveries in the NMS civilized space.

• Presence across all social media.

• Recognized by Hello Games as a positive contributor to the game.

• AGT logo was adopted and included by Hello Games in the game itself.

AGT History
