Participation Guidelines

Moderation Principles

• Please behave politely and respectfully at all times.

• If the issue is not deemed as extreme, we will operate a Three (3) Strike Limit on Discord and Facebook groups.

• After a person accumulates three or more strikes, their behaviour will be reviewed by the AGT SLT. If the behaviour is unacceptable, they will be permanently banned from all AGT groups.

• Any member that is banned is also ex-communicated from participating in AGT events, our civilised space community, and barred from trying to contact any AGT individuals.

• If banned, a former member can appeal to the SLT to have the ban revoked. However, the SLT’s decision is final.

Strike System

Major Infractions

The following is a list of infractions that will warrant the issue of two (2) strikes:

• Bullying another AGT member via any online social media network, AGT server or NOT, or in a voice capacity. 

  • Receipts (evidence) of this must be provided by the reporting party. 

  • This includes name calling, defamation, or using any form of communication to otherwise inflict emotional pain or distress to another member. 

  • Bullying is defined as a collaborative or joint effort via various messages or by various individuals aimed at one specific individual to make them feel discriminated against.

• Promoting other NMS civilisations, without prior SLT approval, for any reason.

• Use of gross or offensive gifs. Using any gifs that could be deemed grossly offensive. For example, a porn, gore, nudity, etc. We aim to be a family friendly and safe for work server.

Minor Infractions

The following is a list of infractions that will warrant the issue of one (1) strike:

• Maliciously insulting another AGT member via any online social media network, or in voice. 

• Sharing your own private information. This includes any information that can reveal your real life identity, including social media profiles, email addresses, phone numbers, photographs, etc. If you want to share to someone, do it in a private discussion.  Reasonable leniency will be accorded in the Being Human channel of the discord server for images you share.

• Discussing real world politics or religion in any capacity. These things are important, but the AGT discord server is not the place for it.

• Trolling. Trolling is not tolerated within the AGT. Trolling is any series of actions that cause disruption to the normal functions of the server. For example, consistently ignoring someone’s pronouns or name, or being overly argumentative on a subject for an extended period of time.

• Violation of AGT Naming Convention: Intentionally in an AGT Designated region. Repeated violation after a warning will attract strikes for each system named in a region after warning.

Extreme Infractions

Notwithstanding the Three Strike system, if the SLT determines a particular violation to be an extreme form of Trolling, sexism, racism, political or religious arguments, the SLT may enforce a ban without warning or prior notification. Extreme types of bans may be communicated to the other major civilized space communities in NMS via our normal diplomatic agreements.
