Bureau Responsibilities

The AGT Bureau of Science & Tech is responsible for all official AGT science and technology projects in the AGT.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Drive new project initiatives related to science (in-game) or tech (external technology tool developments online) for the AGT.

• Document project status of ongoing tool developments.

• Communicate and promote the projects to groups outside the AGT.

• Recruit and encourage 'Travellers' (members of the AGT) to join in projects

• Advise and assist to maintain the AGT Galactic Archives DB Tool and database content and backups.

• Assist in all online tool development, eg. Engage Website, Wiki, Forms, AGT NAVI, etc.

• Liaison with other Civs to adopt best practice for tool and software development from whatever codebase they are willing to share.

• Advise and assist to ensure data migration from Google forms as appropriate.

• Drive and implement a replacement DB strategy.

• Recruit travellers with software tech skillsets to help.

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Promote the AGT Bureau activities on the AGT official communication channels when possible (Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, Discord).

• Represent the AGT to provide guidance to the NMS Fandom administrators on structure, categorization and characteristics / guidelines for the NMS wiki.

• Support specific regional focus to document discoveries in the AGT Galactic Archives as identified by SLT.

• Oversee the Dept of Stellar Cartography.

• Oversee the Dept of Phantom Initiatives.

• Project Firebase.

• Project Engage (celabgalactic acting)

The bureau is overseen and supported by the AGT Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

Contributing to the Bureau

Any AGT Traveller with software and coding skills is welcome to contribute to the bureau. Contact an SLT member to discuss further. Experience with mySQL, Firebase, Appscript, Java, Phython, REACT are all desirable skills.  The AGT is also open to other technology solutions if you can determine suitable evolution plans.
