Department of Stellar Cartography

Summary

The AGT Department of Stellar Cartography is a departmentof the Alliance of Galactic Travellers that is responsible for stellar and interstellar mapping initiatives.

Department Responsibilities

The department has the following responsibilities:

• Maintain ongoing input to use of the AGT NAVI 3D modelling tool.

• Recruit and train AGT Travellers to record and document interstellar star distances and submit them to the AGT Galactic Archives database tools.

• Represent the AGT to the peer groups in the community (when they form) for cartographical work and standardization

• Represent the AGT to provide guidance to the NMS Fandom administrators on cartography for the NMS wiki

• Promote the AGT NAVI and the AGT department activities on the AGT official communication channels when possible (Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, Discord)

It is overseen by the AGT Bureau of Science & Tech.
